IPL to host fan vote showmatch at SXSW
In a recent post on TeamLiquid.net, the IGN Pro League announced a showmatch between two top tier pros, to be decided upon by the general public via open vote. The showmatch, to be held during South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, is a best of 9 and features a $5,000 prize pool.
16 players will be voted upon to compete in the event, which will take place during ScreenBurn, the video game portion of the cultural festival. ScreenBurn is free and open to the public March 9th – 11th, 2012.

Individuals have the opportunity to vote for two of their favorite players from the list of participants. Voting is open until midnight Pacific Standard Time on Monday, January 16th. So far, the top four players in terms of votes are: IdrA, MarineKing, HuK, and DongRaeGu.
